Motivation Card - Angel Charms

Happy New Year!  I hope you had a great start to 2014.  I look forward to this year and the journey it will take me.  Sorry for not being around blog land for the past month, I had a difficult month and I'm here today to tell you a little about it.

So before I share my card with you, I would like to share a little story behind this card of mine today.  My husband and I found out in August that we were expecting our very first baby.  It's been a long and hard road for us (9 years with infertility), but our miracle baby came to us and we felt so blessed and so excited to finally have the chance to start our family.  Unfortunately, that happiness and dream didn't last long.  Over the Holidays, I had a miscarriage.  It's a difficult time for us, but I know we have an angel looking over us and she is smiling upon us.  I'm so thankful she came into our lives and I miss her so very much too. I'm trying everyday to be stronger for everyone around me and for myself.  I hope by sharing just a little bit of my life on my blog will help me move forward and hopefully get me back on track with life.  Thanks for reading this post and I hope my card will bring motivation to you like it did for me.

When we left the hospital, they gave us a box full of handmade items from other family in similar situation.  These two pictures below are angels I made from beads/pearls and findings that I would like to contribute to the hospital care package.  I want to help support other family, let them know that we are thinking of them and hoping to give them encouragement to move forward.
Sorry this is such a sad post to start off the new year.  Thanks so much for reading and I hope I'll get to see you again in blog land.

Much Love,
Chelsea

  1. I'm so sorry to hear that something like this happened to you. I know it must be very hard. If you were here, I'd give you a big hug, but since you are miles away, I can only send you a virtual one. I hope it still helps - even if just a little bit.
I'd like to send you a card, so I'd be grateful if you sent me your address, but if your don't want, that's ok too. Just know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
    Hugs! xx

  3. Oh, this is just too awful for words! It took a lot of courage to do what you did to let us know what you had/ have to go through!
I know, I've been there too. We've lost our first baby when she/ he was only 13 weeks old...
There are no names for people who lose their children, did you know that? Maybe because their loss is too big for words or to comprehend...
I just want to let you know, I'll think of you in my prayers and wish you and your husband Gods Loving comfort and know in your heart that your little angel is in heaven.
Talk and pray, share your grief, leave room for eachother to do this in your own way. Write things down on paper, talk to people who know what hurt you're going through, the pain, the feeling of loss, empty arms....
    Take time to heal!!
A big hug and I hope and pray that you'll find a way to overcome this.
    ( sorry for my 'Dunglish')
    Bye,

  5. Dear Chelsea,
It just broke my heart reading about what you and your hubby went thru. Yet you have a big heart by sharing your experience and making those cute angels for the hospital care package to help others. So kind of you. As always, you create the most exquisite masterpieces. Such a gorgeous card!! I agree that your darling daughter is watching over you both. Keep the faith and I'll keep you both in my prayers. Big hugs!!!

  12. My heart goes out to you Chelsea. Know that God does have a plan and it will be perfect. I have written a few times on my post how I have 7 son's 6 are in heaven waiting for me and I have one living here. My children were born in my 6 to 7th month, lived for 4 to 6 weeks then went home to be with the Lord.
I will be remembering you in prayer

    Your card is stunning.

  13. Hi Chelsea,
I'm so very sorry to hear you lost your baby. There's nothing I can say that will make you feel better, just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you. Your card is beautiful; so full of shabby chic details and the angel decos are gorgeous as well. I can imagine many tears falling whilst assembling them, but what a beautiful thing to do for others who will find themselves in the same awful situation. Be strong.

Sending you and your hubby big hugs.
