Shabby Card - Peonies Flower Tutorial

This card was made using my coffee filter peonies flower tutorial, what do you think?  I love the way it turned out and I'm going to share how I make them.  But first, I want to say Thank You for your heartfelt comments and emails on my previous post.  You motivated me to get back on my feet by sharing in my grief.  I Thank You from the bottom of my heart, I couldn't have done it with out friends and family.

Here are the Peonies flowers I made ...

Materials:
  • Coffee Filter Paper
  • Watercolors
  • Stamens
  • Heat Gun
  • Momenta Flower Die
  • White Glue
  • Tweezer
  • Scissors
  • Stylus
  • Paint Brush

Using the coffee filter paper, cut 4 layers of small flower and 6 layers of the big flower.
Add water to the stack of flowers
While flowers are still wet, add some watercolor to the center of the flowers.
Use the heat gun to dry the flowers.
Cut a slit between each petals.
Run the stylus around the edge of the petals to curl them.
Make a hole in the center for the stamen then separate the big flowers (3 layers each).

With some glue, add the stacks of flowers together and let dry.
Ruffle the layers for a fuller look.

Thanks for reading, see you on the next post.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Much Love,
Chelsea
